Zhang Ji, director of the Department of electromechanical and science and technology industry of the Ministry of Commerce, said in Beijing recently that the comparative advantage of China's export of electromechanical products still exists. If handled properly, the prospect is still very broad.
Introducing the export of mechanical and electrical products, Zhang Ji said that mechanical and electrical products account for the largest share of China's export commodities, accounting for more than half of both stock and increment. In the first six months of this year, the export of mechanical and electrical products accounted for 58.8% of foreign trade exports. The trend of import and export of mechanical and electrical products is basically a barometer of China's foreign trade.
Affected by the international financial crisis, China's export of mechanical and electrical products has been seriously impacted. According to customs statistics, in the first six months of this year, the national export of mechanical and electrical products was US $306.68 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 21.2%.
Zhang Ji said that to export, we must first have demand. At present, the proportion of mechanical and electrical products in the world trade in goods has increased from 30% in 1989 to 42%, and there are many levels, which are suitable for the development of different types of enterprises. "We believe that mechanical and electrical products are still the most important component and driving force in world trade, and there is a large demand for mechanical and electrical products."
At the same time, from the perspective of international industrial transfer, Zhang Ji believes that the current overall trend of international industrial transfer will not change fundamentally, and China's comprehensive advantages in undertaking transfer can not be compared with ordinary countries. Now there are some returns from enterprises going to Vietnam or Myanmar, because the transfer still depends on comprehensive advantages.
Although the export growth rate of China's mechanical and electrical products to Europe and the United States is declining, the total market share is steadily rising. According to U.S. Customs statistics, the proportion of mechanical and electrical products imported by the United States from China in the first four months of this year was 25.1%, an increase of 4.1 percentage points over the same period last year; The proportion of the EU in the first three months increased by 1.7 percentage points year-on-year.
